By way of introduction, we are a husband and wife team from New York's Hudson Valley. In 1999, we came to build our home in Roatan and have never looked back. Through our experience and interaction with others, we discovered the need for a competent, reliable property management service. Thus, Roatan Property Management was formed in 2001. As the island has grown, we have slowly built our business managing homes for absentee homeowners starting with Parie House, which was one of the earlier homes on the island offered as a vacation rental. We still manage Parie House as well as another home the owners bought in 2006. RPM’s growth has been steady and all by word of mouth based on our reputation. Our background and experience have been a natural fit for managing and maintaining homes and assisting visitors select the property that best suits their needs and desires. Many years of living on Roatan have given us the insight on how things work and do not work; and to know the best maintenance people to handle any problems that may arise in a professional and timely manner. Before moving to Roatan, Stella owned and operated a residential and commercial cleaning service in Garrison and Cold Spring New York for 15 years. Fran published tourist guides in San Francisco California and New York’s Hudson Valley, worked in real estate in Cold Spring, and as a project manager for a Nursery and Landscape Contractor in Kauai Hawaii. Tanisha Levy was born and raised on Roatan. Having family in Hollywood Florida Tanisha was able to spend time in the US where she completed her eleventh year of high school. After graduation Tanisha obtained her degrees in Computer Systems and Tourism and Hospitality. In her own words Tanisha is very independent, talented, honest, respectful and hard working. Always very polite wearing a pretty smile with excellent social skills Tanisha takes pride in being professional in her work. She loves to travel in her off time and has proven to be a great addition to our company overseeing the staff, meeting guests and doing any number of things that may be required in managing all of our properties Kimberly Sanders was born and raised on mainland Honduras in La Ceiba. Kimberly studied Industrial Engineering at the Catholic University of Honduras which has given her the background and skills to perform the many tasks that she is responsible for in managing our office. From invoicing and accounting to updating calendars and following up on bookings Kimberly is key to keeping our office organized and running smoothly. With her easy going manner Kimberly is independent, polite, humble, respectful, caring and hard working. Always trying to better herself learning new skills and seeking new experiences Kimberly has not only grown personally but enabled our company to grow while maintaining our high standards in managing our properties. Her free time is spent with family and friends watching a good movie or simply just relaxing listening to music. Ada Padilla, our head housekeeper, starting working for us from day one and continues to this day to keep the homes in top shape. Having been trained by Stella, all the housekeepers uphold our high standards in keeping the homes clean and well maintained. Iris and Wendy, both born on mainland Honduras, came to the island as young children many years ago with their families. They started working with us in 2005; hardworking, trustworthy and well-trained. Iris and Wendy have been and continue to be valuable members of our housekeeping team. Keeping the homes clean and ready for the arrival of our guests is their primary responsibility. Marty Wood, our driver, has also been working with us from early on meeting guests at the airport and driving them to the homes when they are not renting their own vehicle. Marty has been as loyal, responsible and personable as anyone could expect. Often guests will hire him for Island tours, shopping trips, and general transportation. As an additional service to our guests, Marty’s wife Blackie will hire out to come to your house to cook traditional island cuisine by request. Blackie has many years experience cooking in island restaurants. Leston Mann starting working with us as a carpenter when we built our home in 1999; he has continued with us doing everything along with his crew from simple maintenance and repairs to remodels and building new homes for our clients. Our philosophy is simple: find competent responsible people, treat them with respect and loyalty, and in return get competent and responsible service. Together, through our experience and commitment, we continue to give our properties the attention to detail that both our clients and guests expect and deserve, and take pride in giving professional and personalized service.
